because he no longer has this stupid haircut to hide his flappy lugs. I met him at bsb and was tempted to pull them out.

He's an odd looking guy but an awesome rider though.
I used to follow him on Myspace when he was still in MotoGP and he was basically just going out and getting hammered all the time, constantly posting pictures of himself and friends on drunk nights out. No wonder the team and sponsors weren't happy.
I though he may have been coming to BSB to just hang his career out a little longer, but credit to him he's making a proper go at a come back and it can't be easy to learn all the awkward little British tracks after riding on the big International sized tracks for so long.
