Get on the ferry and come home?
Essentially it depends on what you want and how long you have. A quick beer tour of Belgium could be good, Amsterdam is lovely, a trip along the dutch coast and all the delta works would be interesting. Or you could head into france, see a bit of the place on your way down south to the coast. There's always the option of spain too. Germany would be good but i like the south most. |

Spain. The amount of EU money that's been spent on Spanish infrastructure is immense. The roads in the south, in AndalucĂa, even in the more remote areas, are absolutely amazing, smooth, twisty, fast, hot blacktop. The scenery's amazing, the weather's incredible, the people are warm and welcoming, the food's insane and the beer's icy cold. Good wine too. Biker's heaven. ____________________ Responsibility. France, Spain, Low countries have virtually priced themselves out of the market, (unless you are a fat cat banker). The Euro is a common currency, but it takes twice as many Euros to buy something in France as it does in Germany, (the German economy is strong, the rest basket cases). If you want a good destination, easily reached in a day, go to the Nurbergring. Fantastic scenery, loads of superb hotels with quite reasonable prices. Hell, if the manager is OK you can still smoke at the bar! A day hooning round the 'ring, evenings spent drinking good beer in the company of other lunatics... Heaven. |

Posted in general bike chat as thats exactly what this is.
Felt I would get more of a response as i know i dont often visit that section. Thanks for youre sarcastic shitty response.
Anyway. I was really thinking of Germany as it is quite close, love the idea of a beer tour of Belgium. Given me some ideas.
Just to add, probably best i stick anally to the BCF rulebook of where to post certain topics. Maybe you could give me a lesson, CM? x x |

Eh?
I'm just back from touring Germany,France,Belgium and Holland, and Germany is bloody expensive. 1.71 Euro for a litre of super, and 2.25 for a wee bottle of Coke. France was a bit cheaper. ____________________ 1996 Kawasaki GPZ1100s,1996 VFR750,1980 BMW R80,1982 Kwak Z250B,1992 ZZR1100C,1996 BMW K1100LT,1994 Kwak ZZR600E,1993 BMW R1100RS,1992 ZZR 600D,1988 BMW K100LT,1998 Aprilia Pegaso 650,1994 Suzuki RF900,1991 Yamaha XJ600, 1988 Honda Dominator,1992 Kwak KMX125,1987 Yamaha RD50MX,1984 Honda MBX50.1984 Honda Superdream 125 |

If you've never been I'd say try Belgium. You've got the Ardennes, all the flanders WW1 history, Bruges, Ghent, Antwerp. Excellent beer, monumental hangovers and chips with mayonnaise. What more could you want.
And its not miles and miles to get too. |

I live in France and happen to be a Fat Cat Banker in Luxembourg but I disagree with your comments ref prices....it all depends on what you are looking for...France is well within a low budget you just need to go to the right places. |
