Well took the 6 in for a service today, and was pleasantly suprised in some respects. It came to a total of £185 include use of fully synth oil as well.

down side was found out that my "new" subframe is not as straight as I thought, and that my CAM chain tensioner has gone and needs to be replaced. luckaly this is under warranty and will be done for free, they only just done the locks today under warranty as well.

Second good news of the day, is that I have been given a £5k loan, and the R1 looks very nice. Had a look at the 04 R1 toady and it looks sexy as hell, although the new underseat system wasn't as good as I expected it to be. Mad

So all in all an eventful day, the bike is running a bit sweeter, although the high beam no longer works? Shocked hoo umm.

Stu, please don't buy an R1. It don't deserve you, buy something sensible like a golf kart or something. Smile

Why don't you just sell the R6 and buy a second one if you want to buy an R1 to completley destroy? You do also realise that you have to pay loans back don't you? Smile

To be honest the R1 is a "dream" bike! I don't need to go for a one litre bike just yet, as the R6 is just as fast.

The loan will be put to good use, including safety gear and some carbon bits, as well as clearing the overdraft!!

Bummer bout me light though? Was working last week. Confused
