I Have a top end tapping noise that starts about 3500-4000rpm and appears to stop about 6000
It appears it could be the timing chain tensioner or valve clearance, does any one have any ideas, should i fit the stock TCT or a manually adjustable aftermarket type
Many thanks

The choice is yours, what you are describing does sound like a CCT noise but before you go ahead and buy a gasket and CCT have a mechanic listen for a good 2nd opinion.

If he says the same then go on to buy one. The CCT on your RR is a spring, oil and rachet CCT, they look pretty cool. Thumbs Up

They are known for sticking on that model. Take it out and give it a clean, may free it up. chances are you don't need a new one.

Cleaning is a temporary fix, they are not expensive from Honda. About 1.5 hours to do it. CBR600RR is a nice bike, worth looking after it.

You can change them and they can start rattling again rather quickly too.....

Thanks guys, changed it, much better but still a slight noise around 4000rpm, might change the oil just to be on the safe side! Thanks again
