Well, if you want a GSXR, first things are NOT to get banned! If your 16 and on a CBT having a scooter that does over 31MPH is Illegal. You may as well go and buy that GSXR now because riding it is exactly the same thing.
Moving away from the legal implications, If you have fitted a sports exhaust you really should change the rollers and clutch springs. May as well change the belt whilst your in there, saves hassel later.
Theres no point in changing your airfilter as that would require further up-jetting for probably no gain and increase fuel consumption. Unless you intend on fitting a big bore kit then you dont need to even consider one.
If you wanted to go the whole hulk, you could install a Big bore kit, Performance variator and clutch, higher ratio gears, Better sports exhaust, performance carb and so on and so forth. But its not worth wasting the money, you may as well spend it on your proper bike test to get you one step closer to that GSXR (Although you probably wont be able to ride a thou straight away unless you restrict it and unless your lucky you will probably come under the 3rd licensing directive anyway which means you'll only be able to ride a 125 until your 19 or something stupid.
EDIT:
No, the CDI Shouldn't be restricted. It isnt in most modern scooter engines. The best you can do is try, if it does hit the rev limiter then you need to fit an aftermarket coil/cdi. Malossi probably do one thats compatible. I assume you removed the restrictions from the sports pipe? ____________________ Former: Derbi GP1 50, Sachs XTC 125, Suzuki GSXR 400 GK73A, Kawasaki ZX7R, Suzuki DR250, Yamaha RD350

hey thanks for reply. i have a full moped license (full car license and cbt) i took the restrictors out of the exhaust when i first brought it.
any ideas what weight the rollers should be and what the springs should be also as i have seen different ones on ebay. why would i need to change the belt? not heard of this 1 before?
i am just trying to get a decent little bike that is cheap on insurance and quick little run about. as soon as i can afford to do proper bike license and afford a gsxr i will get 1. thanks again m8

A full moped licence doesnt entitle you to ride a de-restricted moped however being 17 and having a CBT might let you get away with it. Technically because you have changed the class of the vehicle you have to submit it to the DVLA for inspection.
With regards to rollers and clutch springs, its mostly trial and error im afraid. Work out what weight of rollers you have at the moment and try going slightly lighter. Keep trying until you get the optimum setup. Buy a set of clutch springs for your bike and try them all going from the loosest to the tightest until you find the optimum setup.
The reason I suggested you change the belt is simply because it is likely to have some where on it so whilst you in the casing it might be worth changing. Its not at all needed, it was just a suggestion.
To be honest, if I were you and just looking for a cheap run around, id sell the 50 and get a 125. About the same on insurance and they can safely keep up with traffic. ____________________ Former: Derbi GP1 50, Sachs XTC 125, Suzuki GSXR 400 GK73A, Kawasaki ZX7R, Suzuki DR250, Yamaha RD350
