Umm..any chance of you repeating that in English for those of us that can't read dumbass?

Do a search for CBR125 and you will see our views on it.

Hi

If you CBT has expired you will need to do it again. There is a theory test, but that is not part of the CBT but is needed before you do the full test.

The CBR is, well, a bit slow.

All the best

Keith

CBR125R -- Load of crap speed wise. Not worth buying a new bike, better get a 2nd hand one to crash.

CBT -- Valid for 2 years and after this has to be done again, L-PLATES will still be needed on a bike too.

NSR125 -- These are a better choice for learners. More poke / speed. Get a 2nd hand one thats done a few miles (5k - 10k).

Gears -- Easy to master if you listen to what your being told.

Top speed will be about 80mph, and motorways will be a real hassle. Pass your test and get a bigger bike.

There are pictures on this site, in the photos section.

It would stand it ok, but you may not. How big are you? They are tiny bikes. And very slow.

The CBR will be too small for you.

Get an older geared 125 to learn on then pass your test and get something bigger and more suited to your needs.

Hi

I am about 5'8" tall and 10.5 stone, and a CBR feels tiny to me.

Not sure how much no claims bonus you have from the scooter, but I suspect your insurance will be quite cheap.

To be honest I would say that you would be better off doing your test and buying a larger bike. Something like a CB500 would be better suited for commuting.

All the best

Keith

Why do you keep ending your posts with "woosh"? You're 30 years old for gods sake. The CBR is a pile of rubbish, either get an NSR or do what Keith suggested ant try out a CB500. Also, you could really do with listening to Bendy, she made a really good point. If you carry on as you going the site will automatically ban your user account.

Some people may have voted the post badly, I don't know. But the karma system expects people to at least form sentences and use the spellchecker, and he hasn't.

I pointed this out, and he's pasted the same thing he posted 40 minutes previously. Doesn't look like he's trying to help his own karma particularly.

I have no idea what the first post said as it has gone, but what i do know is that karma gubbins is a pain in the posterior, i hate it!

But on the other hand, i learn how to spell those stupid little words and actually string a sentence together that makes sense, kind of!

Just like being at school again, get something wrong and teacher will nag, misbehave and get expelled Laughing

The CBR125'S are ok but as said before they are really slow, you will be much happier with a 2 stroke 125 for example a nsr125. Also its not worth buying them new unless you intend to keep it for some time.

If i was in your situation i would do a full bike test as you said your cbt is running out soon anyway and go for a larger bike. Once you have done the test you will have a much larger choice of bikes and can look round more. From my experience 125's and motorways don't go well together and its uncomfortable being flat out all the time so its best to get a bigger bike that could easily cruise on the motorways.

woosh!!!! Laughing

Again on the point of the cbr I also sat on one at the bike show I am 5'8 and I felt ridiculous on it it felt like a push bike with a engine (not a very good engine at that). I would suggest doing your test and buying a bigger bike (my first bike is a old cbr 600) something you won't mind dropping etc.

I agree with you lot, I went to alexandra palace the other week and looked at the CBR125R, it is slimmer than the NSR125R and it looked like a bike for a 6 yr old! I am 6' 1" and am going for the NSR 125 RR, it is wider and feels better. At least the NSR125R looks bigger than a scooter, unless that's what you want? I saw the yamaha TZR50 and that looked bigger than the CBR125R.
