Definitely not the cam chain but i'm not sure what it is. Maybe one of the conrods failed? Gonna remove the engine tomorrow and have a look-see

Definately a rod. Won't be much left of that engine you can use. Crank, rod, piston, head, cases, maybe even cams will be trashed.

I can't imagine much else thats going to cause damage dead centre like that.

Your engine will still turn once the valves are sufficiently bent if the cam chain fails.

engine table, definately the best thing you can do with it. small bike engine though, might be a good side table lol

Sorry to see an engine ending its life in a bad way must of gone with a bang? mines fooked but no whole in it like yours.
