Can you get nicked by them?

I went touring last year with some mates and I know we set off a few in France (sneaky little grey boxes!) but we never heard anything.

Can you pretty much run through them all wherever you are in Europe with gay abandon?

unless you go back and get pnd'd or anpr picks you up.

If they do then be nice and empty your wallet, lots, there and then or they'll have your wheels away

Almost forgot, if they backdate the new speeding laws there is a likelihood that if something like 30kph over the limit they can bang you up as well, again, there and then

Like everything, the more you take the piss then the more likely they will be to try and establish laws allowing them to use the details to prosecute foreign drivers. If you're going to speed where there are cameras then you're more likely to get done by a copper at the side of the road which there is no getting away from.

OK, cheers chaps.

We didn't take the piss last time, and we don't intend to take this piss this time either, so hopefully it'll all be fine.

I went through one in France a couple of years ago on a peage at about 90, never heard a thing.

Only France and Germany share speed camera information with each other. If you're on a UK plate then you have nothing to worry about, unless a cop stops you.

Live in France and the one's that you don't see are the one's being used by the Police....they will merely flash you and if you are unlucky will send a Motorbike Cop after you....otherwise you tend to be warned that there is a speed camera coming up so no excuse realy !! Oh...and they also use one's that they can turn round to face the opposite flowing traffic so you never know which side is "hot" ! Anything above 50kmh and you forfeit your Bike on the spot as well as a fine.

Drove through France four times, rode twice, every time with complete disregard of speed limits. Still waiting for the pile of French letters.

Lat one was in April Smile
