According to the V5, it's an Aprilia Red Rose, which i know is a completely different bike. The reg is right, but i can't check the frame number yet because it's getting delivered on friday.

Do i just tell the DVLA, and they'll send a new V5 out?.

Where does this leave me insurance wise?. If i tell them it's an RS, and i prang it, will they refuse to pay out because the wrong model's on the V5?.

Isn't the Red Rose the cruiser looking thing? I've never, ever seen one in the flesh!

It's hard to see how that could've got mixed up with an RS though. Are you buying new or has this gone through other's hands without them noticing?

Yep, Red Rose is a cruiser.

Yes, it's second hand, bought it off a mate at work. As far as i know, it's had 3 owners (i have the receipt of the guy my mate bought it from).

When I first got my car and got the Docs back from the DVLA they said it was a 2 door Fiesta.

It's not btw, it's a 4 Door so as said, with the DVLA you just don't know. At least (in my case) they got the model right though Laughing

Hi

Red Rose is the custom styled thing. Think yourself lucky to have never seen one.

I would be most concerned that the log book doesn't actually match the bike at all.

All the best

Keith

125 Aprilias are pretty 'hot' bikes but it sounds like yours could be 'hotter' than most, dont pass over any dosh until you're sure what you're buying is ligit.

All that means is that there's a registration plate on the bike that matches the V5. £7 delivered from eBay, no questions asked.

If it's a DVLA error from new, I'd wonder why the original owner didn't sort it out right away.
