Made for a Channel Four program, still damn good.

Shocked at the steel cabling bit.

I did like the effects, and the background story makes it more fitting.
The rider Keelan Phillips had a friend who used to do his filming for him. Out of the blue he got cancer and died on Keelan's birthday while he was out on the lash... He had a deadline to produce a video and no producer, then he came into contact with Kendy Ty (from France) who had never done any sports related production before, and is known for his dark imagery.
The video is dedicated to his mate, so I quite like the melancholy feel of it Thumbs Up

Well aware of the background of it, doesn't mean I have to like it.

Personally I'm of the opinion that sports films are about the location, the tricks and the individual. To put film effects onto it merely takes away from that.

That's a personal view though, and probably why I prefer the Macaskill film. Thumbs Up

Fair enough. I generally prefer the normal style too, but apart from the quality of the last 2 Macaskill videos I still think the first one he did (Inspired Bicycles) has the best tricks and is the most impressive so far. Hard to top though..

When I posted the skater's video (Kilian Martin) on here, I got less than amazing feedback. A lot of shittalk about how he looks like he tried a thousand times to get it and just showed the one where he nails it, being off balance and all that jealous bollocks Rolling Eyes

So if someone isn't impressed when someone can do something they can't they are jealous? Yeah, good one. Rolling Eyes

Thats because it was honest. I posted that he always looked off balance IIRC and on watching the vid.....He did look like he was always off balanced.

Yeah that's true, and he doesn't look as in control as Rodney Mullen does in his videos (only guy I know I can compare with), but he's still got some awesome talent. And I don't mean everyone is jealous cause they're not impressed, take it with a pinch of salt... I meant more like picky with the little things even though the overall performance is pretty damn good.

Killian is very impressive, however I feel lots of his stuff is based on Rodney Mullen stuff, which in turn is probably based on something else.

It's still impressive and his film was rather well shot too.

The first one Macaskill did for Inspired was mighty. Thumbs Up
