OK when i first got my bike it was fine , its a warrior despatch 125cc Honda copy
about 2 months ago it just started cutting out by its self, i realized the black wire on the battery was lose so i tighten everything up and it was fine for a week, but its started again now and has its on and off days when it wants to work
main problem is it will run for about a mile and just decided to cut out and wont even kick start or electric
it cuts out and just sounds like nothing getting to it but if i leave it for like 10-15 mins it will start again but carry on doing the same

be really good if anyone could help me

thanks

Sounds like it's another Chines copy. These bikes aren't very good or well put together. The best thing you could do is get a manual for it and a multimeter and start checking all its connections and ignition components. Go over the bike frequently with a socket set and make sure everything is tight and where required torqued to the right amount.

That sounds like something maybe overheating in it, could be electrical or mechanical in nature. Again check all ignition components are within tolerance, check the oil and filter and if you haven't already get it an NGK spark plug and cap and install a fuel filter. As an after thought check the tank is venting and try removing the float chamber drain screw and let some petrol run through in case its something blocking the carbs (removing the float bowl and giving it a visual inspection would be better)

Hope that's of some use.

MickC's advice is good for standard checks, but you also need to remember that this is a Chinese bike with highly variable, but usually very low, quality.

For this reason you need to introduce some chaos theory with fault diagnosis. It could just be a corroded electrical connection, or it could be a failing ignition or pickup coil, stator, CDI.

If it starts easily and runs well for a mile then I doubt a carb problem, carb problems often make a bike difficult to start with a poor idle. I would expect an electrical problem of some kind.

As popped up in another thread though, once a Chinese bike starts getting expensive to fix you cut your losses and get rid of it. It will never be fixed, and will always continue to be expensive to keep going.
