My son now wants to come on the bike with me so needing to get him some gear however what do i get him in relation to size?

he is 11 1/2 quite tall for his age and 31" waste , so i get him kids stuff or small mens or small womans clothes?

Take him to a shop and see what fits him....

HG or J&S should do something to fit.

Its hard enough with sizes for adults between brands etc.....

THanks for that but the nearest shop is over 120 miles away was planning to buy online apart from the helmet

Get him grown mens stuff, im 18 and a 32" waist, If you get slightly larger, he can keep it for a while. My dad always found when i was younger, when he bought me gear, i grew out of it quick..
Obviously always get the right sized helmet (your head doesnt change much anyway)

There is a shop in warwickshire called baby biker - they stock all sizes right up to small adult, and do a P/X / buyback scheme.

Failing that, he's probably close enough for small adult kit - adult jeans for example usually start at 30"

anything he grows out of can easily be sold on via ebay.
