Was just wondering what or if i can get such a thing on my Honda or if if they are even called that...

Have been using it a few weeks now and just want some extra luggage space. What is the best/cheapest option and would it restrict the running at all?

Thanks

I've seen aftermarket topbox / rack solutions that bolt on to the frame, and of course there's always those bag pannier things that simply hang next to your rear wheels which for me attach to my rear luggage handles, you can have a bag bungeed to the pillion seat, a tank bag and finally a massive camping rucksack on your back, mostly resting on the pillion seat.

Depends on how much you want to carry and what for?

ms51ves3: why does it need 500 miles? Are you teaching it how to be a piston?

I do weekly shops on my CG every... week, funnily enough. It's pretty easy with the right rucksack. I do admit that the larger bag you bring with you the stupider you look but it's very easy. If you accidentally go over what will fit at the checkout then it's good to have a tank bag you can put extras in to. I love my tank bag anyway Thumbs Up

Mostly I just use a laptop bag designed for 15" laptops. I seem to be able to fit an enormous amount inside. Tank bags are generally magnetic, they just slap on to your tank. Mine also comes with a cord that clips around the front forks for if you're going 60MPH or whatever but for a trip to the shops it'll definitely stay on by its self.

I've managed a loaf of bread, box of cereal, milk, and various other tins and jars + frozen meat in my laptop back without problems before though. My camping rucksack however is massive. It's probably around 70L in space. You could easily fit a months worth of shopping in there for a single person if you weren't worrying about how everything would get squashed inside Laughing

I like the sound of a camping rucksack. I can cope with a crushed loaf and a few flat steaks lol

Very rare i do 60 so a tank bag sounds good.

Cheers

i used side panniers on mine. which are always good because you always have a little more space incase you need it. although the grab handles at the back are rather covered

I thikn the best option is buying a special bag for traveling and if you need a recommendation there is this company selling some very high wuality bags that will last for years and the designs are very cool. Have a look at [the site that I'm shilling for which sells nauseatingly expensive hoity toity gayboy shoulder bags that have hee-haw to do with motorcycles]

I wonder if the "wuality" of bags being shilled match that of the spam advertising them? Very Happy

I've two ww2 large packs bungeed and cable tied to either side of her, also have a cargo net that sits on the back seat as well! Use a tank bag and backpack for a longer trip.
