I'm not yet officially a biker as yet but thought i'd say hi anyway.
I passed my mod 1 and mod 2 last month now just searching for a bike, i like the look of the k6 gsxr 600 but i change my mind like the weather. hopefully get some test rides booked when i get a few days off work.

Choosing a bike based on how it looks is #1 in the book of fail. At least spend some time sat on, if not riding a bike before buying one. I've known too many people get shiny sports bike syndrome only to find them too small, uncomfortable and expensive to drop. I mean if your heart is set on one then get one, but if it's not try as many bikes out as you can before you decide on one Thumbs Up

Good advice. May i just add, choose a price range before you start which may limit your options but at least you'll leave yourself enough money to ride the bike and enjoy it. Very Happy

Cheers guys, I definitely won't be buying anything without having a good test ride on a few different models first. From what ive heard there isn't really a comfy sports bike out there is that true?

Depends on what you class as a sports bike really. Race replica, no probably not as they are designed for speed with no thought for comfort.
But you can get sporty style bikes that are comfortable e.g. i want one of these next:

They're damn comfortable.
