I've got a chap coming saturday afaik to have a tinker, will ask him to bring his, assume he will have one.

Maybe should buy one of the cheaper ones you can get.

ANYONE thinking of getting a 2T bike, it WILL cost you more than you ever thought !!! Laughing

But when running sweet, for blasting around town and country lanes, their ace. Cool

Tell him you need a low range torque wench!
19Nm is about an 'umph' over finger tight.
Most torque wrenches start at around 40Nm intended for high torque fastenings; 40Nm is about, two 'umph's over finger tight, 60Nm about the torque on an alloy car engine cylinder head bolt, about one 'grunt' over an "Umph"... the 80Nm or so to tighten up a Rover V8 cylinder head is about two grunts over an umph, and the 120Nm of a Diesel engine a good GNAR-Umph-y'bastid! over a grunt!

Curiousely, you have jumped straight in with local engineering terminoligy.... y'Dad or sum-one, serve his time & the Standard & Triumph Aprentices?

nb is Newton Bastardmetres. It's the name of the measurement you use when you realise you need to buy a torque wrench Razz

You can achieve 19nm with an allen key and a strong hand.

You can achieve it with two fingers on an allen key, which is why caution should be exercised.

I'll raise Mike the rear stub axle nut on a VFR750 at 190nm which is more of a "HNNNNGGG. HNNNNNNNNGGGGGG. HHHHNNNNNNNNNNNNNGGG..*click*"
