Hey all,
How are you? Good?
I've had enough of the sore arse, back, wrists, neck etc. that comes with riding my CBR so I'm gonna be selling it and getting something else.
Any suggestions for comfortable bikes? Preferably 1000cc, £3-4k, no more than 8 years old. I'm 6'2" by the way.
My old CBR-F didn't cause me any problems. I borrowed a VFR1200 (manual) for a while and that was soooo comfortable.
If anyone is interested in my CBR600RR (pics in sig) then let me know, otherwise I'll just trade it in. ____________________ MKGaming.com

Odd as it sounds, Older GSXR1000 (K3/K4)
Amazingly roomy In comparison to your hot wheels style bike
Failing that do a Chives and Blackbird it up

Blackbird or zx12?
You could look towards a naked big bore, X11, zrx1200 xjr1300? Even a naked aprilia would be more comfy.
I found the K2 gixxer thou more comfy than a k5 or k8, and much more comfy than an 07 blade.
I lived with a guy who was 6'6 and he raced a cb500, looked stupid, but when he was riding my x11 he looked about right.

Give A TDM a try if you get a Chance, I'm 6'5" and find it very comfy. ____________________ Well, you know what they say. If you want to save the world, you have to push a few old ladies down the stairs.

My GSX-R1000 is quite comfy, I have ridden a 2004 CBR600RR and that felt so MASSIVELY uncomfy, hard, arse-over-tit and unforgiving compared to my GSX-R which just hugs you as if you sit "inside" it, the K5-6 onwards feels like this to me and is just about in your budget.
Failing that, ZX-12Rs, ZZRs, ST1100/ST1300, VFR800, Tiger, Sprint, Versys, Hornet, CB1000R, Ducati ST2/ST3/ST4 or various others.
I am in your ballpark actually, the GSX-R is going up for sale soon and being replaced with a 2010 ZZR1400. I also want a bike that's just as fast but a bit comfier! ! ____________________ "Four wheels move the body, two wheels move the soul."

Everyone is going to have there own choice but if you can get a ride on a 1200bandit s I've found my k6 a treat, put the s fairing on as I got tiered of doing longer runs without the fairing. What a contrast from being naked, put a double bubble screen on and can potter along at any pace and at 6'2" find it very comfy. There's the bonus that there are so many after market bit's you can do(if that's your thing) or just leave it pretty much standard. Try a few before making your mind up as one mans meat and all that, good luck, ride safe |

i used to think my old 600rr was quite comfy, definately a damn sight more comfy than the SP-1. i did day long trips on it quite regular and never felt painfully uncomfortable and im just over 6ft.
how about a vfr800, i know it's not 1000cc but there just as fast as a 600rr but with more comfort and better fuel consumption ____________________ 04 NSR 125(sold) ---- 03 CBR 600rr(sold) ----90 pan euro ST1100 ' ' ----02 CG 125
