Saw it today, just wondering what peoples opinions on it were?

I thought it was okay, not as good as I expected. The Morals are pretty good though and I liked the way they portrayed those.

Examples, Jay with the larger girl taking the piss at first then when he looks past that and realises she's got a nice personality inside. That shows bigger people don't need to be treated differently.

Will gets the best looking girl because he is consistent and generally nice to her. Showing that you don't have to be a pretty boy to get a good looking woman.

Simon was to show how you can get over teenage love. Also to show how when people are in love they target fixate on it and tent to forget the people around them.

Neil we won't go there Laughing.

Quite clever I thought!

Or be a general slime Wink.

To be fair, there are some occasionally exceptions, which I'm sure is the case for the OP and thus his tainted views of reality Wink.

Saw it last night, thought it was pretty good, made me want to be 18 again (although Im only 21) Razz

Couldnt help but realised they walked past a bar me and the girlfriend had sat in a few summers ago..... in Magaluf, turns out they recorded in Mallorca and said it was Crete!

Quite a feel good ending and everyone left the cinema smiling

I'd give it 8/10, much enjoyed it!

It was ok, lots of funny moments but not the massive comedy fest I was expecting.

TBH it was just like a long episode, which is fine but I was expecting more because of the hype.

Not seen it yet, I hope it's not one of those films that has all the funny bits in the trailers and nothing else!

I expect it to be just that. There is no point in going in a different direction or trying to do something different (not really sure what people were expecting? Confused ) when most people will be watching it off the back of the series.

Still, i'll reserve judgement until a decent torrent is available.

I should probably clarify as to why it did not meet my expectations - it is not the style of the film being like that of the episodes that I am talking about, the reason it was like a long episode is because the storyline was so shit it relied ENTIRELY on the gags and jokes. That works fine for a 25 minute episode but IMO when that was used as the basis of the film it ended up lacking.

The side bits were really funny and it would have made a brilliant extended episode. If there was a genuinely intelligent or amusing story with the usual series like style thrown in and around it would have been excellent.

Not a bad film by any stretch of the imagination but the plot was dire, resembled that of Kevin and Perry tbh. Also, a lot of the best bits were used in the trailers so those that would have been excellent lost impact because I had seen them before.

As others have said the plot lacked, however everything else was spot on, if they had found a decent plot it would have been the 'perfect' movie, leaves you laughing throughout.

I liked it, there are plenty of laughs right from the start

felt like an extra long episode, was a bit strange watching it at the cinema

Forgot to say in my previous post above this one.

In the newspaper a couple of months ago I seen a picture of Mr. Gilbert on a stag do in this movie. I am sure he was on a table drinking with people standing around him - but this was not in the film.

The only part where it showed that he was actually in Malia was right at the end when he was on the quad going through the streets with a tie on his head.

Anyone know what why he was not in it much ?
Is there an extended version?
Will there be an extended version for the DVD release?

Perhaps the Gilbert bits maybe have needed remove or it wouldnt have got the 15 certificate.

Any ideas ? Idea

Went the other day. Found it hilarious, yeah poor story but I went in with low expectations and didn't come out disappointed because of that. I agree it was weird watching it in the cinema, as it did just feel like an extra long show.

I'm guessing the bits with gilbert in will be on the dvd, probably as extras. It was a shame he wasn't really in it though, as that could have made some amazing jokes. I think he's the funniest one in the show.

Just got back from seeing it, I loved it! Thought it was brilliant. Nice and easy to follow, bit predictable in places, but still laughed lots!

Yes, Mrs Metal's younger sister works for 18-30 and they helped with the production. She was invited to a special screening as thanks and everything.

Worth seeing for the "dancing across the dancefloor" bit alone, the rest of the movie was fantastic but that bit made me cry with laughter.

+1 The movie was good not as funny as hangover 2 mind you but the dancefloor was the best part out of the whole film, kind of a let down imo.
