Q plate or age related plate ?

when a motocross bike gets road rejistered does it get a q plate like trikes ect or an age related plate ??

Age related if you can prove the age

Hi

Q is normally used when there is a query over the age. Either because there is no history (ie, chassis number defaced at some point and its true id can't be found) or when made from parts where the age differs.

Avoid a Q plate if at all possible as they are likely to make insurance difficult (although think with cars they do have advantages at MOT time).

Hi

You need some acceptable proof of age. Possibly a certificate from the maker, or possibly a certificate from an authority recognise by the DVLA (ie, for older Japanese bikes the Vintage Japanese Motorcycle Club can provide certificates)

Then the fun of getting it through SVA.
