Ive got and sv650s, restricted. Any ideas if im doing damage by riding it flat out with it restricted? And if so, is there any way of telling if i get a mate to de-restrict it apart from the obvious difference in power?

You're not hurting it by riding it "flat out" whilst it's restricted.

And is it a carby or FI?

If it's a carby then the lack of inlet washers will give it away, if it's FI then the full power ECU/lack of a throttle stop will give it away.

Chance of getting caught is slim provided you're relatively sensible.

better not for now then (: was more worried id damage it by constantly trying to get the top end out of it while its restricted, thanks for the advice Very Happy
