So far I have spent a lot of money on the bike;
Derestricted exhaust / derestricted variator
New TNT racing variator with a 4/9g mix
drive belt
electronic choke unit
engine barrel and piston
electric regulator
new battery
carb cleaned

after all that the bike only goes 40 at the max, what have i not done to make it go faster?

Possibly choke unit not quite working, could be air leak in carb, check plugs for colour.
check your throttle cable is opening up the carb smoothly and all the way.
Last choice, upgrade the main jet.
Good luck mate.

Wow, well done, you've wasted your money on a crappy moped Wink

I guess we all have to start somewhere.

I presume your familiar with the law regarding 16 year olds and there vehicle limitations? If not let me know, im sure I can sufficiently inform you.

Furthermore, I wouldn't really expect it to do anymore then 40 on a standard exhaust. I presume you Upjetted when you de-restricted the exhaust? If not then your running lean and you need to upjet.

If you want that little bit more speed then you should get a 'sports' exhaust (wasting more of your money) and you might get another 5 miles per hour. But really, if you think about it, you could save that money at put it towards a 125 and a bike test next year enabling you to get on an ACTUALLY fast machine.

you should jet the carb if you have changed the exhaust,,i would of thought it would go a littel bit more than 40mph...is it a 50cc or 100.
up jet it any way it needs doing
