Recently i have reborded my bike (which most ofyou know)
and at high speeds it wont rev above 5 thou.
I saw a post on here a couple of days ago but i cant find it
now so i wondered if any one knew (kickstart) how to adjust
the mixture screw.

Thanks

Kev

Hi

The mixture screw will only affect very low throttle openings. The jet that could possibly be causing the problem you have is the main jet.

To take it to 150cc means boring it out by around 5.5mm. I suspect this will start to have an affect on the heights of the various ports. However I would not expect that to stop the bike going over 5000rpm.

To be honest I would just start by checking the compression, the ignition timing (should be fixed and not easily changed), the air filter, etc.

All the best

Keith

Hi Keith
Thanks for replying, I went out at 17:00 and set the mixture screw and did it a half a turn more then I put some custom ram pipes on and now it goes right thru the rev range in top gear(well as far as i would dare take it as i am still running in).

Thanks again

Kev
