today my bike has developed a horrible engine noise. only noticed it when i kicked the bike over today coming back from work 2hours ago. the noise to me sounds like rubber rubbing on metal with a lack of lube. it sound like its coming from the bottom end but its difficult to be sure. i whipped the stator cover off to see if anything was rubbing on it but it seems fine. the noise only occures when i kick the bike over or cut it out so only when the stator is spinning slowlyish. if i stick the bike in gear and push the noise is there, if i try it in gear with the clutch in the noise goes? theres enough transmission oil in there and its blowing 2t smoke as always. theres no noticable performance issues so im stummped

any thoughts

It could be a number of things.I would have the clutch over off and check the big nut on the end of the gear that transmits drive to the clutch hub.
