Hello

Recently i was out on my DNA and i hit a pothole in the road, the bike starting losing power over the space a few yards and then died.

I tried starting it, and it turned but wouldn't start, i left it about 8 - 10 mins and it started up and was fine for a week or so, then the same thing happened again on another hole in the road somewhere else (someone suggested the first pothole may have been a fluke Shocked )

iv smashed over every bump/drain cover/hole since then, trying to replicate it closer to home so i can try and investigate the problem, but in normal gilera fashion - it wont play ball, and i have no idea when it will do it again, or why Embarassed

The bike developed another problem before this, that might be related; when i start the bike i have to crawl at 8mph for a bit (less than 20 meters) before the bike "comes alive", if i go any faster than that/open the throttle it dies.

people have suggested it could be electrical, others say choke/carb/air-filter, and my mate said "its a DNA, that's the problem" but I'm stumped

The bikes a 2002 DNA 125, Iv had it for about 5 years, i know the bike in and out, so i have no problem taking it apart to fix things - any idea's or info are greatly appreciated.

Thanks Very Happy

Sorted the starting/sluggish problem by ripping the carb to bits and cleaning every single part, still no wiser to the stall issue though Sad

EDIT: just noticed the edit button, didnt need to post a reply, sorry! Embarassed

Give the spark plug lead a wiggle when it's running.
