Has anyone here got one; if so, what's it like?

Or are there better alternatives for a similar price?

Yes, but they are just so expensive!

I think the 25L would be about right for what I need, but at £95 you really are paying for the label, which I cannot justify.

You could get an "as new" used one for the same as the kappa.

Are they waterproof though?

Are those HUMP waterproof covers any good? I've not actually used one but see loads of people with them.

How do they fix around the backpack's shoulder straps and how stretchy are they? My backpack's normal width but quite long.

I did look at that one, but it seems it's only waterproof when the hi-vis cover is attached, which would be a pain in the rear end if I had to stop and get the cover out every time I was caught in a downpour.

I just use my fiances hiking rucksack. You could probably pick one up fairly cheap
It's huge and waterproof...had an absolute downpour on the way to work yesterday and when I got there and took my work trousers out, dry as a bone.

The same could not be said for the rest of me Crying or Very sad

I actually had a browse on hiking websites as well, but couldn't find anything suitably priced.

And it was appreciated, hence the karma Wink

As it turns out, I've just read my latest issue of Ride to see the Kappa bag reviewed, and advertised on a website for only £35....so I'm having it!

Looks like I was wrong. The bag article I read was for the tote bag version. Never mind, I've bought the rucksack anyways.

Thanks for all the suggestions anyways.

I have that bag, everything inside has stayed bone dry no mater how heavy the rain is. All the straps keep it secure when you're leaning and you don't even realise it's on. Great bag with plenty of storage!

Thanks for the feedback. My only concern was that it may be too big for daily use, but I'm no longer worried about that.

How are you getting on with the bag? Saw this and the design is exactly what I want, just a little unsure on the size.
