Whats the best/easiest way to get the downpipes shiny again. there are patches that are but the majority are filthy and its bugging me that i cant get then nice and shiny!

Yes, Brick acid. The stuff from wicks works pretty good. Just dont touch it as its quite corrosive.

£140 but that was for the full system inc cans and my rearsets/hangers.

Autosol and fine grade wet and dry sandpaper - I used 1200 on mine.
You also need a beer, which makes the whole process quite relaxing.

I find autosol works good if you keep at it, i give my bike a good going over once a week and they stay nice and clean.
