hello i have a aprillia sr50 and i brought it from brand new i ran the bike in for 300 miles and then i fully de-restricted the bike and placed a de-restricted exhaust on and a bigger jet and had the rollers changed the bike was running fine ive now got 2000 miles on the clock, but yesturday the bike just cut out i had just filled up with fuel and had plenty of 2 stroke in i got the bike home and every time i tried starting it it sounded like i had no compression ive had the spark plug out and have a good spark ive checked to see if i have compression witch i do ive had the cyclinder head of and all looks fine along with the piston the only thing i didnt check was the piston rings ? the main jet and pilot jet is clear all fuses are fine on the bike im getting fuel to carb but everytime i try starting the bike its just the sound of the battery kicking over and slight hint of the piston and occasialy the exhaust will back fire any idea's ?

Put the bike in gear, release the clutch and see how easy it is to push the bike, if it's easy you have no compression.

Erm how exactly is he supposed to do this with a rev and go moped?

If theres fuel and piston and head arent damaged the elertrics are working by what youve said, id think its getting fuel but not air, check the filter in your airbox hasnt slipped into the inlet tract and isnt blocking air from entering the carb.

Its a very very common problem on nearly all mopeds Smile
