By mid-April I'll have some left over cash from selling my ZXR and buying the R6, so at last I can get my trail bike I've always wanted.

I've settled on a Husky TE410E, nice bike 4 stroke motor, reliable and fast, good off road and equally good on road. looks good etc and are fairly cheap compared to WR's etc.

Does anyone know much about them? I can't find much info or barely any pictures.

Any help would be great.

I'm going to pick up TBM next week or so I think.

Any chance you can have a look around for the husky review?

From what I've read/been told it's a great bike for off road, general use or full on supermoto, which suits me perfectly as i want to use it for the 3 mile trip to work and off road at weekends etc and some moto tyres for trying to do wheelies and stuff Laughing

Yep that's the one, although there is a slightly better graphics scheme which I much prefer:

Huskysport in dorset helped me out when i was looking at them. As you have found, FI doesn't do restrictors for them.

There are pretty much the same as the TE/SM 610E and you can expect lots of tinkering to keep them running as huskys are not known fo care free usage.

https://www.supermotech.co.uk/ - theres a 610 review on there.

I would expect it will feel a bit underpowered for road use.

My dr600 has a claimed 4hp more than that... and it redlines at under the 7500rpm that the TE410 makes peak power at! It's got about 15kg more claimed weight.. but still feels pretty slow for road riding, as most non tuned 4st mx bikes do.

I'm only using it on slowish roads/intown though, which it's good for. Dunno if I want to risk a trip to box hill on it though... I can't see extended high speed riding being great fun really.

Personally I think most of the new 4st mx bikes are over priced for what they are if you're primarily going to be using them on the road (admittedly experience of other bikes with similar stats, not actual new mx bikes).

Cheers for the advice.

The only road work the bike will do, is between trails and the 3 miles town commute to work, so as long as accelearation (and wheelies Twisted Evil ) sweet, then I'm laughing

The supermoto wheels are purely cos I want to have a go at stunts without smashing my everyday bike.

Also it'll be nice to have alternative transport if the other is off the road for any reason. AS I dont have a car.

I basically want to know that 1) it's good off road 2) it's a hoot on the road, if a bit underpowered, 3) it wheelies/stunts well (which they all do) and 4) if its worth the cash

£2000 is bloody cheap compared to the likes of the DRZ400, XR and WR and I prefer the looks of the husky.

If you haven't got a car (or don't want one like me Razz) then I think it's a damn good idea to have two bikes. As soon as I do (and pass Praying ) my DAS I'll be getting a DT125 or similar and a NC30. (I can afford this soon as I'm selling me house Smile )

Hi
What is the husky like as a stunt bike? I do want a light rubbish piece of bike to do stunts on, my other bikes are to precious/fragile to be smacked about a bit.

Thats one of the main reasons I want one Luke, from what I've found out, they are fairly fast, good off road, good at wheelying and so on. Most traily bikes like that will be good at stunts though.

I wouldnt say it was a piece of rubbish though.

Your looking at £2k + for a fairly decent one and they look quite trick.

if you want a piece of rubbish, get a bandit 6 or something
