Dragging the pager alarm thing up again. I bought one of the above from M & P a few weeks ago for about £70. I've had it fitted to the bike for a while now and it seems to work quite well. It's only a pager system not an alarm however. It consists of a little black box that fits to the bike with a sticky velcro pad and a small black pager with three scrolling LED's, Knight Rider style. The paging unit takes two watch style lithium batteries and is supposed to last for around a year, the pager itself uses a single battery of the same style and is about the size of a match box. It's all very easy to use and fit and you can add a couple of wireless PIR's to the pager to. The idea is that the LED's scroll until one of the sensors is triggered and it stops on the LED that corresponds to the triggered sensor. It is supposed to work up to 200 meters and the pager emits a siren when triggered. It's got a decent sensitivity range, not too over sensitive, we have messed about with it a work and it works well. When you are on the move it recognizes that the sensor is being over active and powers off, once stopped it resets itself and arms after two minutes.

I only wanted something with a relatively short range as I wanted to be able to do something about it when it went off and it's for use at work and home, so the bike should never be too far from me when it's at risk.

I thought I'd post it as a few people were interested in pagers a few weeks back and I've left it for a while to bed in and test it out.

I'd be interested to hear how Bendy got on with hers if Kev has had a chace to fit it yet?

It's all good (write up is in the original pager thread) apart from it flattening the battery rather quickly,
