Hi there, as of yesterday, my bike had randomly started acting weird.

I know little about mechanics so this'll probably make very little sense.

Anyway, at fairly low speeds in a high gear <7k revs, the bike seems to run fine, but anything above that there is a complete loss of power with it flicking on and off, about one second intervals. Making the bike jolt back and forth.

This happens even in the lower gears too, if i turn the throttle more than about 3/4, the same happens. This is annoying as yesterday, leaving asda/busy junction. Went to set off as usual and the bike just died, had to wheel her onto the pavement as she didn't want to start back up, took me like 10 minutes.

There also seems to be a clunky/rattling noise coming from the front end, not sure if this is relevant or just something loose behind the clocks.

Sorry for being fairly vague but im sure any input will help me feel less like a prick if i take her into the garage.

cheers Sam.

No, although my choke has like 3 settings. Its running like its on half choke. Maybe the choke isn't turning off properly? How would i be able to check this.

Dirty fuel/air system with bad spark plugs can do exactly that.

Good basic service might get it running good again. Plugs, air + fuel filters, clean injectors/carb.
