Don't buy a new exhaust.

Follow the NSR derestriction guide on nsr125.com (and possibly in the faq section of this site)

and bathe in the heady sweet nectar of 20bhp!

Seriously, if you buy a new exhust and don't rejet, your engine is likely to seize. Don't bother. Save the cash and derestrict it yourself.

Thumbs Up you know it makes sense! Smile

Hi

Chances are you will have to rejet. It would be safest to go up a couple of sizes on the main jet at first just to be on the safe side anyway.

All the best

On this topic i've been considering replacing the exhaust system - pipes and can - on my 2000 NSR and am wondering whether this is a sensible option. I realise i will probably need re-jetting to suit an aftermarket can, the problem is i have an alleged 20bhp on an 11.6bhp licence, and i don't want to attract attention to myself.

What do you fellers think? Rolling Eyes

Would the police notice on a small bike?

Are your L plates on or off?

Whats the point? It won't make the bike anymore power (well maybe 0.1bhp or something equally crap), it'll in theory invalidate your insurance or you'll have to tell them about it. Also as you say it'll be likely to attract police attention.

Save your money. Thumbs Up
