For I have just dropped 12 glass botttles of westons vintage on the kitchen floor.

Every. Single. Bottle. Broken.

I'm nearly on my knees sucking it off the tiles Sad

I need sympathy for the fact that my body rejects apple cider altogether, and makes me react so badly, that I can black out on just a few sips...

make your own cider. It's far better than anything you can buy in a shop

I've started another 25L barrel on Friday Smile

I'm not a cider drinker but I hate to see booze wasted in any form.

My condolences.

Gone off apple cider lately, but I definitely feel your pain.

Currently enjoying a nice bottle of Kopparberg, much prefer the pear stuff right now

I feel your pain, really Shocked

although I have to avoid apple cider these days - I seem to have developed an allergy to apples over the last couple of years, so I have to stick to perry/pear cider

On a more serious note though a real cider drinker would have caught them before they hit the floor! Laughing

No a REAL cider drinker would have had them drunk before they hit the floor, or would just get the mop and then drink it straight from the bucket.... or is that just me?

quick edit,

With me being stuck in the wes' coun'ree to me proper cider is the stuff that you can still see feathers floating in the glass before they dissolve, the kind of stuff that is so cloudy even the mearest drop is completely opaque, where they sell it in shot glasses rather than pints, and after 3 pints you wake up in a different country.... none of this chemical piss you buy from the shops

I remember being in an offy in Pothleven buying fags when I was working down there 20 odd years ago and being fascinated with a 5 litre polypin of something cloudy, bitty and piss-like, with a big chicken on the label. I think it was called summat like "Old Cock". I'll try anything, but there's no way I woulda drunk that...

Was it Cripplecock? We tried that when my parents lived in Newquay. Looks like old dishwater and probably an acquired taste, but had no desire to acquire it!
I like Stowford Press cider best.
