Couldn't you have just bid on it anyway, then visit the bank tomorrow and put the cash in?

sorry madam, i dont know how long you have to pay, i rarely use ebay and have always payed the same time as i bought something soo? maybe i could have gotten it and ive just totally missed out. Owell learn and live on

plus the reason she wouldnt not let me buy it is because and i quote "why do you need such an 'expensive' jacket. you can easily get one's for 20 quid. we saw plenty of cheap ones when we got my gear"

I was just like :o. find me a alpine star jacket for that price.

her boyfriends reason for me not to get it was. " its leather... if it rains you will get soaked.get some textiles"

yes i agree with this but this will be my fair weather riding jacket. i dont want to have one jacket for all things. cause when it comes to a nice hot sunny day and i just wanna go out somewhere i dont want some thick gortex top on over heating. Plus i will be riding harder on the nicer days and just like people say. leather is better protection

We have an alpinestars tart in the making, but at least your mother knows best!

My throne as BCF's resident tart will take some serious effort to usurp! Mine slippery slide to my alpinestars fetish started off with the purchase of a used leather jacket for £100, and just look at my wardrobe now! Wink

There's plenty of bargains to be had with A* stuff, if you know WHAT to look out for. Bear in mind I've been wearing A* kit since I could afford to, quite often, it's better buying used stuff from <2006 when a lot of it was made in italy or at least europe. Their made in china stuff has taken a lot of stick until recently, and rightly so! I've had non critical seams fray apart etc... not something you would expect from an £850 race suit!

You got the link to the jacket by any chance?

Considering the MX1 retails for £400, in the grander scheme of things, £20 p&b is bugger all! Whenever I flog my old kit, I normally charge a tenna for P&P as a standard parcel because 1 pieces are pretty heavy.

I was going to get an MX1 jacket to go with my MX1 1 piece suit, but ended up finding a tech-1R for £250. Most MX1's I've seen go for north of 200 still!

Send me the links. But I'd definitely go for the MX1 jacket if you can get it. They're very comfortable if my 1 piece is anything to go by.

Pff, I'll be impressed when you've got the logo as a tattoo!

I saw a lad with it tattooed on his upper arm in tesco a few years ago. Happened to see him out in the car park where he got in to a Honda Civic Sport with a massive A* decal on each side, and one on the bonnet.

Yes, but mine isn't to do with brand loyalty. My leathers happen to be Dianese, but thats because they fit me best. They were second hand and look fairly gash.

It's funny you say honda civic sport, cos that's what I got, but my decals are on the lower righthand side of my rear window, along with Arai. All other windows are covered in ghey band stickers, like Metallica, Slipknot, A7X deathbat, New Found Glory, Blink182 and offspring Rolling Eyes ... ghey!
