Mentions bikes near the end. I know people on here have used the drive thru in the past and experienced the inconsistency with bikes being allowed/not allowed.

But...

Couldn't care less tbh. Still amazes me how McDonald's remains so busy. Everytime I pass one they're rammed full. How can so many people not realise how shite their food is. Neutral

as well with bicycles (i may be slightly wrong on the details) but my brother once tried to walk through a Macdonalds drive-thru, as the main part was shut, and was turned away.
After borrowing his friends bicycle, he then made another run, and was served.

My friend was also served on his motorbike with no problem, apart from having to get a bag from halfords, because two of the Macdonalds bags had started to split...he carried his meal home hung from his handlebars Laughing

Hi

Used them a fair few times on the bike. Although need to have a thick shake to avoid it going everywhere (that stuff will stay in place with the cup on its side for a while Wink ).

All the best

Keith

I've never been through on the bike however I know from experience that no-matter how determined you are , walking through is not acceptable even if you pretend a trolly is a motor vehicle...to much Guiness that night

Locally to me outta the three drive throu's I have been refused service at only one of them, they mentioned it being a company policy, i told them that was rubbish as I have been served at the other two, they replied the other two resturant managers werent as diligent as this one, then I said but your advert shows a biker!!!

They replied with "sorry we are not going to serve you......."

I said "fine I will park my bike just here and walk in........."

after some conflab she returned with "Just this once......but dont come back!

Soo potentially I might be banned from McDonalds, Oh the shame!

if you get 5 m8s to walk through squatting as if sitting in an imaginary car play engine noise from your phone and pretend to wind down the window they will laugh hard for a while then serve you ... from personal experience

Totaly agree, the cardboard box the burger comes in tastes better than the burger itself!

I'm curious how you managed to ascertain that, tbh...?

Very Happy

We used to walk through the drive thu in Salford, cos it was open an hour later than the restaurant, but they never used to mind...

Wonder what they'd say if you went through on a side car combo, probably have to phone head office for instructions.

a lot of mcdonald's are franchises... The price of the menu changes slightly, and for things like free student 99p items with meals also differ. Some places just won't do it, others require an NUS card, some your college card will do, and others if you look young enough they simply won't give a shit in the first place.

I've been through mcdonalds on a bicycle before that was fine... motorbikes will always remain sometimes allowed, sometimes not.. Like helmets in petrol stations etc.

I like how they mention skateboards lol...

It is quite impractical on a bike though, I mean the drink is literally a lost cause.. I'm strill trying to figure that one out.
. and as for keeping the food warm that's not always easy either.. Considering their chips and burgers reach freezing point after about 1 minute carrying normally.

When ordering a meal, burger first, drink next to it, then the fries on top of the burger, easy Thumbs Up

Go for the orange juice, it comes in a sealed bottle.

Thank you for your question. The official rule at McDonald’s Drive Thru restaurants is that we serve any customer in our Drive-thru lane driving a motor vehicle. That said motor cycles may sometimes not served is as a result of advice from the Police and emergency services as they have advised that if the rider has no suitable storage we should not be encouraging dangerous driving practices. There's a maccy's just 5 minuites from my house (walking) i have been through on a big hundreds of times...mostly when i had my gilera dna (big storage in the dummy tank) i even got a family sized kfc bucket large bottle of pepsi and 5 fries in there Cool

And to the walking through macdonalds i have done this lots of times aswell as the drive-through is 24/7 (even though close's on sunday nights Laughing ) most of these times i was barely in a state to walk aswell...i also remember on new years being with around 40 other people walking through the drive through (on way home from party)

If i am ever rejected from a drive through on my bike, or on foot when the main part is closed ill be sure to never go back

i must also say i know alot of the people at that macdonalds (old school friends/ i used to hang around up there when i was younger)

EDIT:

LOVE HOW KFC SAID ITS ok on the video thats embarresing for macdonalds....plus it is understandable a horse is slightly more dangerous ....but relativly safer than a 17 year old on whitelighting with 6 friends and a bag of weed camped in his 1.2 corsa with neons Rolling Eyes

this has made me want a big mac Smile

A motorcycle unfriendly maccy d's needs to be found, then organise a meet of the biggest, ugliest rowdy bikers that can be found and get them to one by one try to order at the drive through, as each one is declined they park up and make their way inside, how long before they start serving at the hatch?
