Hi all, sorry for a second post but since this question was only a comment in my original post it wasnt getting answered and this is somewhat urgent.

Basically ive lost the transponder from my key and dont have any more keys.. so now the scooter wont spark.

My question is if I buy a second hand cd, transponder and receiver will it work? or will it need to be reprogrammed its just from another bike the same as mine.

So im assuming that by replacing the transmitter and receiver thats why you need to also change the cdi thats with it as the code is hardcoded into the cdi or something?

So basically to avoid wasting like 50 pound will this fix it as I can confirm the only problem with my ped is ive lost my transponder and its like 160 for a new one (ive phoned like 10 dealers).

cheers all!

**************EDIT**************************

the cdi is from a 2002 speedfight does this have a imobiliser? and if not and I replace it anyway would it bypass the imobiliser like those bypassers do as they havnt got enough power for the imob?

Could you not just ask this in your original thread ? It keeps your related questions in one place then and more people are likely to give you advice...

FWIW You were already having trouble before your brother lost your transponder thing, so my guess is its not necessarily related to that.

Now if you'd posted this in you original thread, my comments would make sense in context. As you haven't, they probably don't to others who may be able to help you better. Thumbs Up
