Well I done 2700 miles with a stock bike and over the winter have made some fairly substantial mods without opening the motor so I finally got me leathers on and took it out for a spin on saturday after the custom mapping was done, no fairing panels on and the back tyre is kernackered but I was gonna change the oil & filter so it needed warming up right..?

anyway I eased her out onto the road going fairly steady (yeah right) - once I'd made sure that the Hel brakelines I'd fitted were working OK I gave her some grief - fairly steady throttle opening in first (not that much grip yet), more rapid throttle opening in second saw the clocks coming up to greet me, up to the redline, third and wind the throttle back as fast as I could - hahahahahahaha it's mental.... Twisted Evil had to lean right over the tank to stop the front wheel lifting in third, then back off for some traffic.

So I'm negotiating a set of gentle bends when I see a headlight way back in my mirror, he's obviously seen me as he's now closing pretty quickly.

So, he catches up fairly quickly - it's an 02 Fartyblade. We play with the trafic for a while and soon enough I spot a gap that's easy big enough for both of us and I go, glance in the mirror again and he's following - road is clear in both directions in front.

Nail it to the redline in second, third, forget and bounce off the limiter in fourth. - all this has taken what seems like less than 6 seconds.

I look in the mirror and there's a forlorn headlight about 400 yards back, look down and the speedo needle is just coming back from the wrong side of 150... well this is a country lane so I back off and enjoy the corners coming up - he's not getting any closer.

Up comes a long straight bit so I back off to about 100 and after about ten seconds he comes past me at about 130, no nod, no wave no nothing - seriously blown away Twisted Evil Twisted Evil

I agree, it's good fun even though it's sh*t lol. I bought it as backup for my main bike (when I get it) and to use on the mountains for camping and general mountain jumping lol.

What's WSATC?

Welsh Sports and Touring Club. Went for a ride a couple of weeks ago, which is why mine needs new rings. Bike didn't really like being held flat out on the motorway for 30 miles.
