Honda cbr 125 05 replaced air filter now not working.

Hi people, need some help asap, i just took my honda cbr 125 05 to my mate, to replace the standard air filter with a k&n filter, we took everything off, but kept the fuel cables etc attatched, bike started but cut out. then took it for a run down the road and was fine untill i let go of the throttle and cut out again. was a bit of an idiot and used all the battery up by electric start. replaced the air filter back and still no luck!! reli annoying me off now!! if any one can suggest anything it would be a great help...

did you go anywhere near the carb? or kinked the fuel line when you put the tank back on?

Hi there, I didnt touch the carb. I've asked people on facebook and there telling me the same thing.
Theres fuel going through as I lifted the tank up so the pipes were straight and tried starting it, still wouldnt start.
Cleaned the spark plug still nothing, think we are going to leave it to the morning as i think i flooded the engine? As i was constantly trying to start it ??

It's likely to be either air flow or petrol which has been blocked, it may be worth tracing your steps back performing what you did again checking that you haven't blocked anything and that the air filter fitted was fitted correctly.
When you cleaned the plug was it wet with petrol or smelled strongly of petrol, if not there's no fuel getting through?

Check the back of the air box for one of these too, he could have slipped in while your wern't watching.
