Just watched (a bit late I know), Grafitti Wars I pre-recorded a few weeks ago...it's talking about Grafitti vs Street Art, focussing mostly on Robbo of 1980's and the rising popularity of Banksy.

However, Banksy art is blatent plagerism - he has taken on the style of Parisian stencil artist Blek Le Rat https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blek_le_Rat whose artwork appeared throughout Paris and New York.

I love grafitti/street art, and have many photographs of work I've seen across the world. I just thought some of you creatives might be interested in this too. It was on channel 4, so might be found on the archives somewhere if you wish to catch up. Thumbs Up

Edited for Shaggy.

You need to take the comma off the end of your URL - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blek_le_Rat

Thumbs Up

Yup, I watched that too, it was very interesting. Not suprised that Banksey is a bit of a nobber, the kind of people who cream themselves to his work are nobbers too, generally.

I found the insight into the graffiti scene excellent - really got under the skin of that micro community.
