I bought this car. toyota brevis. I was given an advice of BMW 3 series (from Mr Marjay)but I couldn't afford it. It's toyota with soft suspension and automatic but has straight 6 2500cc. (Previous car was 660cc K car like a roller skate).
It's 2005 model used car with 25k miles on the clock and it was really cheap(840k yen)(new car price was 3360k yen). Recently everyone buys eco cars like Jazz, and price tags of these used cars are dropping here.
Driving this car on A road and Motorway is so comfortable compared to K car. I think this car is very opposite from BMW 3 series but I'm happy.
I didn't think I could own 6 cylinder car. I'll try hard to pay petrol and tax of this car.

Interesting choice kawashima, we don't get that model in the UK, I have never even seen one before.

Seems like a good car for the price, I hope you enjoy it.

Out of interest, how much does a litre of petrol cost you?

Thanks DonnyBrago. This car drinks premium petrol and it costs me 160yen(= £1.3) per litre. (Pound vs yen rate is a little bit misleading recently, so it's like £0.8 per litre I think).
MPG of this car is about 22.(8km/litre)

Cool car, it's different to what we see over here. I like big engined cars, makes for lazy driving!

Just out of interest, what are the different coloured pumps? Is that standard colouring over there? Red, yellow and green? Ours are normally green for unleaded and black for diesel.

Nice.

Straight sixes are a nice engine. Smoother and more refined than a 4 cylinder, and a nicer sound. Usually.

Last week I bought a straight 5 cylinder, which is a different sound to my outgoing V8.

I remember when red was 4 star Neutral

Current petrol prices here are about £1.35 per litre, but there are still lots of people driving huge cars. Tax is often very high on big cars now, and parking can be hard if you live in a city.

Is it a Toyota Brevis?

The closest we have in europe is the Lexus LS430.

Hi, yes red is regular, yellow is premium, and green is diesel here.

Yes it's Toyota Brevis. Brevis is much smaller(4550mm) compared to LS430(4995mm).
Petrol is much cheaper than in the UK then. I must thank it.

Hold on you pump your own gas? Last time I was in Japan a few years ago at a petrol station a young Japanese woman in hot pants and a bikini top put the petrol in the car I was being driven in. She even cleaned the wind screen too.
