Right, thought I might just ask before I go up and guess it but I may end up doing that anyway.

Basically, you may have seen my Bandit Restoration Project in 'Show & Tell' but I am currently rewiring the loom.

Any connections that I disconnected I labelled so they all go back together correctly, and thats whats happened. Until I get to the battery.

I think my dad disconnected it as there is no label but I have labelled the positive terminal and the negative terminal but branching from the negative is another terminal that seems to reach to the starter motor.

However, I was sure the starter motor had its own connection (didnt look properly as I was running out of light but 80% sure) but I can't seem to find it.

So would the second terminal, branching from the negative battery terminal, go to the starter motor? Or is it an earth, if so, where will it go? Wink

Thanks for the help guys! Thumbs Up

I thought it was a lead from the positive that went to the starter as the negative is connected to the frame anyway.

That's what you'd think or come out of the loom somewhere else like most of the other connections but there is a connection coming straight off the negative terminal. At least I think it is the negative.

Either way, I haven't connected up and earth and don't remember disconnecting one...

Anyone got a idea where it would be?

I can only assume its to help starting and reduce the distance the power has to travel EI battery > starter relay > starter > frame > battery, it goes battery > starter relay> starter> battery, and in the grand scheme of things will make next to no difference i'd expect.
