Yesterday I went to watch someone do one of those Ferrari days and was wondering if they do something similar for bikes? Something where you could ride some of the more 'exotic' bikes

This would result in dropped bikes, so I doubt it, but you can hire bikes for proper trackdays. check out the sneaky ebay ad at the bottom. £16 for a trackday in an elise ! really ?, no its for a model car

Focused events hire bikes on their trackdays, they have some fairly exotic stuff.
Its probably cheaper then crashing your own bike but would bump the cost of a normal trackday up by quite a bit.

It'd have to be pretty exotic to be worthwhile.

There are plenty of cars outwith the reach of normal humans. Most bikes are available to anyone with access to ~15k

And bikes are a lot easier to damage.

Yeah I suppose it would have to something like a Desmo or similar for it to be worth while but then maintaining and repairing those kind of bikes would be crazy

From what I've seen those 'experience' days are aimed at people with little experience of driving fast that think a £150k Italian supercar will provide the epitome of the experience.

For bikes, of course, the reality is that for riding on track, a well setup two grand jap track bike will probably provide a better experience than eighteen grand of brand new Italian exotic.

The car events generally have the instructor sitting next to the driver - and giving tuition etc beforehand.

Bike riders are often used to really 'using' the bike, which they try to avoid on such car events.
You also get very limited laps - for most people they can quite reasonably do a trackday on their own bike and 'get' a lot more from it.

Yeah I see what you mean. The place where we went to wasn't even a proper track and the cars were just about on half throttle! You were only allowed 3 laps and if you wanted a passenger ride in a KTM X Bow with a fake Stig you had to pay £35 for not even a full lap! (the 'circuit' was only 1.8 miles long as well)

As I couldn't drive I had to admit to wanting to have a ride in the KTM though Laughing
