Early Fazer600/1000 top yoke will fit a FJ12?

I've read that it's possible to fit the early fazer top yokes to the fj1200 but have seen no physical proof.
Is this right?

I'm trying to convert the front to have renthal style bars on and the original top yoke looks far too flimsy to do the job.

If not do you know of anything else that may fit that doesn't require having a custom yoke built and hopefully costs <£80?
