This is a lucky guy:

Yours trashed his bike, and was dragged out from a car stone cold. Hardly "lucky" .

Pictures like that make me cringe. It's like he's the bloke sitting in the corner 'trying' to fit in.

Yeah but you'd probably get bored incredibly quickly as absolutely anything and everything is within reach..

Heh you hear about that Marriott hotels guy, the son of the boss? He was so freakin bored of having 1bn+ in the bank he played the lottery on a whim..... he won £105million...

Still I wouldn't mind being bored...... be a nice change from my absolute total lack of security right now... Crying or Very sad

I don't agree. I think it depends on who you are. Sure, things would get boring after a while (once you've got the ferrari, after time, it would just become another car - wheels, doors, engine). But money would open up the world, any experience you want, if you've the imgination, you can realise.

I can see those two euro winners being bored. Becuase they seem like regular boring people - exactly what will they do with it? They are too fat, too old, too useless. What a waste. If I were them, I would have given away 50 million already, to strangers on the street, just for the kick of it. If I were the bloke, I'd dump the missus. Wth half that money, you can get a lot of quality pussy. Basically, it will just sit in the bank, they'll have a nice holiday now and then, splah out on new cars, buy a huge super dupper tv screen, and spend their remaining 20 years watching it and eating pies.

Most lotto winners, who go public, tend to have no imagination, no aspirations, no dreams. Think of the lady who recently won 2.9 m and is still stacking shelves at Asda.

So I think big money = boredom only if you think no bigger than " a nice car, a nice holiday, a nice house" - which most people do. This is the limits of most people dreams, and it's a bit sad, if you think about it. It' ain't about the things, it's about the opportunity to treat earth as your play park.

Thing is, is the lady in stacking shelves in Asda actually 'bored'?
Presume she her enjoys her job enough - stick her on a motorbike and tell her to go for a ride in a big loop for the sake of it and she may well be very bored.

But, yes, people who have lower aspiration may find themselves bored quickly.
I'm absolutely sure I could find a life's worth (and more) of stuff to do if I had that sort of money.

Think il have to agree here, typically mundane people do nothing with it, just carry on with their mediocre lives. What a waste.
