Shiny hornet has a lie down, now it need some new clothes

Just dropped my Hornet on my gate, if I order a rear panel from Honda will it come with paint and graphics ?

I know I could troll ebay and get one for a tenner after 6 months, but I want my bike shiny again now.

You can but it will cost you. My mate got a quote from Kawasaki for a couple of panels painted and stickered and it came to £2000 or something stupidly high. Can't hurt to ask though...

Years ago I bought the headlight cowl and upper fairings for my NSR from David Silver. They came in the correct colour and with the right stickers (even to the point where they only had the top bit of the 'N' from NSR).

Cant remember how much they cost, but it wasn't prohibitively expensive...

Once the embarrassed self-hatred has passed you'll realise that it is worth a look around first before passing a couple of weeks' wages straight over to Mr. Honda.

Again not the answer you want, but:

I came off my Bandit a few months ago and they wanted close too £900 for a new tank, when it only had a small dent, but major scratching. Said being double skinned they couldn't knock it out but they would fill it to me for close too £200.

I went into the h0mebase opposite, got some black hammerite spray paint (black bike) and covered the offending area in a few coats.

Its not perfect and people still occasionally notice but can you afford to go round dropping serious money on new plastics? Bodge it yourself and then if it ever happens again your wallet will thank you

Sand it down, spray it, and if you want order new graphics if the originals were damaged, or get a secondhand one off egay respray it to your colour, add vinyls.

Like Nexus Icon says, bums and bruises become less of an issue with time.
