Was just looking at their site and it looks like they're doing 2k off all their bikes (some are excluded otherwise you could get a scooter for free Laughing )

They've been doing 900cc Tornado Tre's for £5k for ages. I doubt they are discounting them further than that TBH. Perhaps the list price is still £12k...?

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

Always fancied one of those in red... Trouble is, as soon as they are discounted by that amount they lose all their credibility and any possible resale value...

No they haven't. They have been listed at £5999 in all colours other than green/silver which was £6199.

The £2000 off deal is to celebrate 100 years of Benelli Motorcycle brand. It was due to finish in July, but they've had such good sales that they are carrying on the discounts.

tbh, i'd rather they stop giving discounts, re-branding the same bloody bike (TNT), and make a new sports bike.

Iain, depends on teh model. TNT's are holding their value as its such a good bike for the money. Now all the green/silver Tornados are gone, that value is also rising. If you've got an LE or RS Tornado, again it'll only rise in value now.

£12k was the original Tornado price from 2002-2004 ish. A lot of bike for the money.

And they are reliable, despite what "those who know all" actually don't know at all Wink

Daimo, I'm not knocking the bikes in any way - I haven't owned one nor know anybody who does so I can't comment on reliability etc. I have followed one though and it was 'fruity' in all ways!!! Like I said, I'd love a red one but would be worried about resale as heavily discounted bikes do tend to put off second-hand buyers...

nahhh thats ok fella, no offence taken, its a marmite brand Laughing

But, the Tornado's have been about for a few years now, they dipped down to the low £2000 region. Now the prices are holding, nad are going up again. Bikes are going for £3500-£4500 and I don't think they will really drop that much lower (might get a problematic dog for under £3k, but i'd stay well clear).

Both bikes have been about for a fair while now, most have had the inital early problems sorted, or covered under warantee (dont ask about Trek frames though Laughing ).

The TNT is still selling in bundles, so prices for these will eventually drop, but unlike say buying a brand new R1 for £13k, then it being worth £9k straight away, your starting off with a bike that costs £7k, and its still worth £6k as you walk away. Values are much less to buy to start with so the money lost is far far less. And, theres a good chance, that you can still take £5k for it, 4-5 years later.

Much better than loosing half the value of an R1 in this timeframe.

I want the cafe racer. Thats a stunning looking machine. I do like the Tornado too. Oh so much choice. If only the bastard at the lotto shop would stop selling me the wrong ticket!

I paid £3600 for mine 3 years ago.

120bhp (@ Wheels), stunninng styling, fantastic engine noise, decent spread of power/torque.

Not much around 2002 looks visually as good, but thats obviously biased on my side Laughing

TNT is great fun to ride, but its ruined by too many editions, with the most basic of changes. Great bikes though, good change from a Tuono, or a Brutale.
