Now this is a long shot.

Some guy has left his blue FZ6 with Scorpion exhaust light on at Chesterfield Hospital. I was just passing through and saw it but couldn't track down the rider.

Anyone know a FZ6 rider who probably works in Chesterfield or failing that how can I turn them off as I'm back up there later?

Mind you I don't like touching other's bikes but his battery is gonna take a right beating.

Cheers

Should be a 'light' switch on the right bars, same as most bikes.

My mates dad did this, seems Fazer side lights dont go off when you take the keys out...

Chances are they're parking lights, as on all bikes I've ever owned the headlight goes out when you turn the ignition off.

If they are parking lights then it shouldn't drain the battery. The parking lights bit is usually one click from the steering lock on position. Haven't seen them on bikes for a while I admit.

Cheers mate it was my bike. Thumbs Up
Fortunately I checked BCF after I'd pushed my bike home this morning and found out from this thread that I'd left my lights on.

Surely some of you guys access BCF at work!

Cheers for the info though. They were just parking lights so hopefully his battery will be ok when he climbs on this evening.

Thanks again.

I know you meant well and by a slim chance the owner was a fellow bcf-er and got the message.

I never bother letting folk know if lights are left on. Maybe I'd say to a receptionist or counter staff but for random light leaver-on-ers I say sorry-oh.

Have you ever seen a single glove hanging on a railing?
This is a thing that amuses me. Who would retrace their steps to look for a lost glove?

Uh... what?

I've flattened the battery on my GPZ by leaving them in inadvertently, I wouldn't assume that there's any cleverness going on that cuts them off to preserve enough power to start the bike.

Ha! It would depend on the glove! A soggy primark wool glove =no. But a single alpine stars goretex glove yes.

I just like to help folk. What can I say.

Cheers anyway guys. May your batteries be charged and your gloves be in pairs.

Some of the tarty bike gloves are £150 I would definitely retrace my steps for £150

Just gone past the FZ6 and it's lights are still on but have dimmed considerably, so much so they no longer look on unless you look closely.

And yes he has left the ignition on park not on lock so no way I could switch em off.

Cheers
