It might just be me but his shit is abit boring now, i'm more impressed by someone nailing it around a track actually pushing the bike abit and not just straightlining through traffic popping wheelies.

i know the guy can ride and that he actually races but vids like that make him look a tool because nothing in that was impressive Confused

( unless it's someone pretending to be him, meh)

Yeah, great.

One day he'll get wiped out by "just another thoughtless f*cking cager, who should've seen him approaching at 150mph before excecuting that lane-change manoeuvre".

To me it's impressive, but in a different way as riding around a track is. For me the true heros are the road racers.

Yes it is impressive but it is idiotic to say the least. EU legislators need little excuse to put on their "we know best" caps on and putting videos like this in the public domain, can we blame them?
A bike of that mass with that velocity has a serious amount potential energy. I could easily envisage seeing a cager reacting badly at a bike coming up behind them at that speed. If the bike is clipped it could easily be catapulted over the central reservation into oncoming traffic. That is how the EU bureaucrats think and will view it as "here is another example of bikers not acting responsibly and therefore me must introduce regulations to ensure they cannot act in such a way", which then effects us all.

Yet people wonder why we see talk of the EU banning racing parts of bikes meant for the roads. Rolling Eyes

I'm not saying anything should be banned, i'm just being objective and trying to portray how the EU legislators think.

What I am saying is the less videos like this that are put in the public domain the less likely it is to cause a negative response from legislators which will affect us ALL!

Pushing a bike to within it's full potential is alot harder than that.

if you can wheely well, then you can go between 2 trucks, it's just having the balls. but i suppose it boils down to which gets your blood going hence the difference in opinion Smile

The fuck are you talking about?

He is on a well prepped 1000cc superbike running into the redline at every opportunity. How is this not 'pushing the bike'?

He is riding at a speed that +95% of riders would kill themselves at instantly, with a level of comfort and precognition. There will be an impressive mess the second he fucks up but in the mean time his luck hasn't run out and the releases are interesting. So derp you and the horse you rode in on.

To me it isn't, it's pushing the engine rather than the full potential of the bike, but who cares anyway, if we were all impressed by the same stuff, boring world right?

i never implied he hasn't got skill / balls to do it, just the fact it doesn't do much for me, which is fair enough and never meant to come across like i was implying i'm on my 'high horse' Rolling Eyes

What would you consider as pushing the bike to its full potential?

A knee down here and there? Laughing

For me, it's something more like his lap at the nurburgring, much more impressive.
