It's standard cos it's very nearly new bike. Only had 600 miles on it.

I hope to get a blue flame carbon twin port can, if they are any good that is.

Mr. Green cool, might go for that then if ya reckon they are good, they definetly look great anyway, and the power-port is both road AND race! which should save a lot of hassle.

Do you know if the powerport's still sound great?!

£280 though! Shocked

New probably, would be a shame to put second hand parts on a nearly brand new bike.

But if I found someone selling a can that was never used or something, then I'd probably go for the cheaper option.

Not sure yet really, will get one soon I hope as it sounds a bit gutless without a can! Getting out-noised by my mates NC30 lol (Altho that is VERY loud)

Blue flame sound ok but they are badly made, over priced and I really don't think they look all that good.

As far as power gains go you will get the about the same from any can you put on it.

Kev, yeah Phoenix said the same.

I can't really make my mind up yet, It's got to be carbon for sure. But I like the twin outlet personally.

Although the Akra looks cool as well and is best quality, but aren't they stupidly expensive?

Not sure what I'm going to get yet Crying or Very sad

Why not go for an ART one, they are good quality and they sound very nice with the added bonus that they are cheap.

Anyone with ART cans look away...

I think they are nasty. Cheap, tacky and crap. They sound alright but the BIG crappy ART logo and the cheapness of them really puts me off.

Think it's between a blue flame twin exit power port or a akra.

If you want a well made can that's not too expensive and looks and sounds good get a Micron. If you're a poser get an Akrapovic or Yoshi. If you want a loud cheap can get an Art. If you want power gains you're looking at a full system. If you want to be cool get a Blueflame Cool

lol You lot are making it too difficult! Laughing

It's between the carbon twin exit blue flame, and the carbon Akra.

Not sure what's best, I'll PM Dusty and ask (unless he replies here!) as I know he had a akra.

How can it be between those two cans? They're aimed at totally different buyers. What do you want from the can? Looks? Sound?

To be honest, just looks and sound (tart) I'm not really bothered about power increase, would prefer not to have to re-jet though.

Don't think I'd consider anything other than the BF or the Akra.

Would the Blue Flame be better for me then?

I know it sounds tartish, but I'm really after the best looking can and best sounding, as long as it doesn't lose me power I'm not too worried! Laughing

But... I want something quality and well made.

I've got about 50% of people saying the Blue Flames are great and the other 50% saying they are poorly made.

Might take a trip to a bike show whenever the next one is and decide there and then.

It might be worth scouring eBay for a while until something you like comes up. I got a pair of nice alloy Phase One cans for the VTR on there for £80 (RRP £320) and more recently a mint condition carbon Arrow can for the R1 for £150 (RRP £345). If you don't mind the wait you can land some really nice bargains. Thumbs Up Angelic

That caught my eye... It's nice but might keep my eyes out for a Flame.

How is the R1? You glad you got a yamaha now? I am, much better than krapasaki.

I had a BF twin port on my r6. Sounded great and the build quality was fine.

BF are renowned for being crap with sending out the incorrect link pipe with orders so prepare to hassle them. Hopefully you won't need to though.

I would highly recommend looking into a Renegade can if you want something that sounds really sweet though! Thumbs Up

I've been pleased with the Remus titanium cans I've had on the ZX6R and the TL1000R. Nice sound, and they're not obviouly a race can. The one of the ZX6R looks from the end like it is baffled Smile

The TL is just loud so it's pretty obvious Smile. I got thier Evolution ones which have removable baffles and are road legal and E-marked.

I've heard a few bikes with ART cans on and don't like them. They seem to be all about how loud it is - not how it sounds. So they just ended up as obscenely loud noise, rather than just the loud tone that you get from others.

I can vouch for the Remus can on the ZX-6R too. Thumbs Up
