Did a 150 mile section from williams to kingman 11 years ago the town of selignam is very much as it was in the 50s 60s with period cars and trucks parked all over. No tales but it was a nostalgic ride

I've done a bit of it in a hire car from Flagstaff to Oklahoma but most of it was on I-40. Nothing that exciting happened, one of my mates got caught speeding on the old route 66 when it was his turn to drive, but got let off with a warning. That was about it Smile
I really like the mid-west/southern US states they're a cool place to visit, wouldn't really want to live there though Laughing

I checked internet site the other night and they are offering a 14 night route 66 trip for £1625. includes return flights, car hire airport taxes and a night in hotel/motel in a different place each night. that sounds good to me although i'd obviously want to do it on a bike Smile

it's 2448 miles long, 8 states and 3 different time zones. That sounds mega to me!

Something I'll definitely be looking in to in a few years time.

Old Thread Alert!

The last post was made 14 years, 128 days ago. Instead of replying here, would creating a new thread be more useful?
