what do people reckon? its the correct fitting for the honda cb harnesses, i used to run these on the monkeys and would let you rev all the way up to 13,500rpm with very usable power all the way. made my honda nice 127+R pull like a train.
any thoughts as to weather its worth a try? ____________________ If its loud Be proud! |

Its probably a Honda CB125TDC CDi unit, or based on one! I doubt it will make one jot of difference. TD-C isn't restricted in the ignition anyway.
Honda Part No. 30410KC1008, used accross models and 'Benley' range, and stock on both UK 'Reduced Effect' TD-C and the Full Power Beligain model.
Lets the bike rev 'free' and they will go off the dial well past 14K without much encouragement; 13,500 would actually be an artificial rev limit!
AFAIK 'Smart' money tuning monkey bike motors was to fit a 2nd hand Benley or CB CDi unit, rather than unreliable Chinese 'Performance' one.... ____________________ My Webby'Tef's-tQ, loads of stuff about my bikes, my Land-Rovers, and the stuff I do with them!

They were de-tuned with various different parts. Which countries got 'full-power' and which got 'reduced effect' depended on local legislation; there wasn't a UK bike and a Euro bike. Germany I believe got both versions, as did Ireland.
1977 CB125T, though lists camshaft Part No. 14100399305
1982 CB125TD-C lists camshaft Part No. 14110399700
1988 CB125TD-J lists camshaft Part No. 14110KC1730
The one in the e-bay add from Riders, Snowie linked is a Lifan part, equating to the cam used in the CB125TD-J that had CV carburettors. Unless you want to pay a couple of hundred quid of a cam, its probably the best there is out there.
You wont get a 14100399305 cam; it is discontinued; 14110399700 is listed as its 'compatible replacement', probably why you were told same part number. ____________________ My Webby'Tef's-tQ, loads of stuff about my bikes, my Land-Rovers, and the stuff I do with them!
