And this month's award for the best bikers off the "net" goes to....

Zaphodbeeble and Ian (gpz400r)

With out the help from these two guys my little old ns125r would have been scrapped !
The bike is alive and well !!!!
And strangly running alot better then before Smile
Turned out to be me being a bit "ham fisted " with a contact/switch when stripping the bike for the piston change.
(Zaphodbeeble can decribe what i did wrong alot better !)

With people like this on the forum makes me glad to be a member and a biker ! Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

Now all i need now is to get my brothers computer back together....... Wink

Good to hear it's now running after all this time.

Post some pics soon, I wanna see how it looks with my old NS125 head on it.

Well done to that chap Bill for helping you find that electrical fault, I guessed it was something that you must have done when you took it apart.

Thumbs Up

Yeah the problem was the timing pickup. It was bent out of shape and was too far from the magneto to generate a spark. Bike sounds nice now though. Thumbs Up

Yeah I'm glad to be called a member of this forum.

Many a good friend made, favours done and nights out had. Not only has it helped me get more in to biking but I've met some of the nicest people around.

Thumbs Up

Finally got a bike today. Yamaha DT125R hehe. £650 for a 1989, its the best i could find. Bit expensive I thought but I've been looking for a couple of weeks and its not a bad price. New tyres, new indicators. Paintwork and panels all look really nice on it. Looks like a '96 model! Just got insurance for £219 from MCE - 0870 90 90 996 including breakdown cover and 7 points at the age of 25 having passed my CBT last week.

I'm gonna be tearing around the roads this afternoon with my bro on his NSR. I'll be keeping this bike for a while even after I've done my full test as I still like the mountains. Thumbs Up Smile

Nah it's blue. It belonged to a friend of mine a little while ago. He sold it to the guy I bought it off, so I know it's a good bike. Where abouts are you then, priller?

Don't forget to let it run in first though. I know it's hard to resist opening the throttle but it must be done hehe. Good luck with the bike, hope it runs ok now.

What computer bits have you got? Anything recent or is it older stuff? I'm always looking for a bargain. Thumbs Up

See you round.

I got 3 of them priller. Not sure the wattage though. I'll have to see if they still work too. I got 3 cases too but they are very old. (So old that they are rusty, lol.) The PSU in one of them supported a Pentium 200 MMX. Let me know if you want one of them and I'll drop it in on my way to work tonight.

Nice one, I've got a old 133 pentium that the psu went bang on, going to get it going again so my mother will stop using my laptop all the time. Every time she uses it files disappear and icons move, so she can use the old 133 and delete whatever files she wants.

I can come and collect it on the weekend if you free or if you'd rather not have people coming to house, I could meet you somewhere?

No problem, I'll PM you later with the details. I might have a better motherboard and chip for you too. I think I got a spare AMD K6/2 400 with RAM in a case. Not sure though, I'll have to have a look in the attic. Thumbs Up
